YOUR ROLE

You are in charge of the global general management of a Commercial agency and of Stevedoring activities in a deep-water container terminal. You are responsible for the development and the profitability increase of all Group activities in the designed territory.

You will evolve in a complex environment, in charge of fulfilling the objectives set by the shareholders while facing a delicate competitive and social context.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • You are responsible for the commercial strategy of business in line with the shareholder's global strategy, in this context you bring your global vision on all commercial, operational, and financial activities.
  • You will rely on your understanding of the market as well as on the continuous analysis of your commercial results in close relation with Head Office divisions such as Lines, Global Agency Network and Terminals.
  • In regards to agency activity, you will ensure to drive the implementation of the key responsabilities for the agency manager to guarantee budget, KPI, process and performance of the unit.
  • To implement changes, you will play a key role in communicating with all stakeholders. Your directives must be taken in agreement with the Head office and Regional Office, whose orders you implement and execute, and the shareholders who set your objectives.
  • Your negotiating skills will also be key to your interactions with importers and exporters, and all parties involved on cargo journey in your geographical scope of responsibility.
  • Your function includes the control of social relations. You invest yourself in a continuous dialogue with your teams in the various entities and the trade unions to which you pay particular attention to secure operation a with an agenda of discussion to ensure smooth operations for the Group.
  • In addition, as the person responsible for the smooth running of operations and commercial management, you will ensure relations with the Port Authority and Public bodies in the region and have a consistent role of representation of the company.
  • Finally, you are accountable for the performance of your teams. You will therefore use your leadership to develop their skills, motivation, and cohesion, thus contributing to a continuous process of service improvement.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have a degree in industrial activity management from a Business School or Engineering School.
  • You have at least 10 years' overall professional experience.
  • You have at least 5 years in similar positions in the maritime container terminal sector includingP&L management.
  • Your ability to adapt allows you to feel at ease in any type of context and relationship including with unions and public institutions.
  • You put your managerial and leadership skills at the service of your sense of performance and results.
  • Excellent in oral and written communication, you have the negotiating skills and sense of relationship necessary for social dialogue and public solicitations. You are at ease with communicating in public.
  • Your are fluent in English and French. Speaking Arabic would be highly appreciated
