Job Title: Post-Doctoral position

Area of specialization: Genomics, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics.

The AgroBioSciences Program (AgBS) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to generate data in Morocco and Africa related to rhizobia genomic characterization, distribution, diversity, and transmission mechanisms between rhizobia and host plants.

Main responsibilities:

• Conduct research as part of the project team.
• Identify isolated strains using 16s RNA and ITS sequencing.
• Perform whole-genome sequencing of selected strains.
• Conduct taxonomy characterization and analysis of isolates.
• Perform bioinformatics analysis of generated data.
• Co-supervise master's and doctoral students.
• Publish results in high-impact journals.

Education, qualifications, and experience:

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or equivalent.
• Experience with 16s RNA and ITS sequencing data analysis.
• Publication record in the field.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, and interest in scientific work.
