Job summary

AIRBUS DS SLC SAS in Élancourt (Île-de-France) seeks a DevOps Architect to define and implement CI/CD pipelines for secure, mission-critical broadband solutions. You will ensure high-availability of pipelines and security of components across France and Finland, collaborating with multiple teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong DevOps and security skills, and fluent technical English. A security clearance or eligibility is required; located near Paris region.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in the field of at least 5 years (including work-study periods).
• Kubernetes (rancher, k3s...), Helm, Docker Swarm, Docker, Podman, LXC.
• CI/CD & IaC: Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Canary/Blue-Green, Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible.
• DevSecOps & Quality: scanning tools (Trivy, Xray, Snyk, IaC scanning), Secrets management (Vault, OpenBao), mTLS, JWT, SBOM/SLSA, linting and SAST tooling.
• Networking, Cloud & Observability: API gateways, Istio, NGINX, Prometheus, Grafana; cloud capabilities (GCP, AWS, Serverless, EKS/AKS/GKE).
• IT, Database & Virtualization: Linux automation, VM/Virt, MongoDB, PostgreSQL; strong scripting (Bash, Python).
• Fluent technical English; knowledge of Broadband Mission Critical solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze functional/technical requirements and define the CI/CD pipeline architecture.
• Develop the solution's CI/CD pipelines in customer-like environments using DevOps skills.

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a DevOps Architect (f/m) to join its Public Safety and Security subsidiary based in Elancourt. You will be part of the \"Terminal Software Engineering\" team, which works on secure communication solutions particularly used by public safety forces. You will work on a Broadband \"Mission Critical\" solution.

As a DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architecture of the CI/CD pipelines for the software solutions developed by the team, as well as their implementation. The developed solutions must comply with the \"Mission Critical\" solution and the functional and operational requirements of our customers. You will be responsible for the delivery and deployment of the solution across various platforms. You will ensure the high availability of the pipelines as well as the quality and security of the solution's components. You will work with various teams based in France and Finland. Knowledge of a Broadband \"Mission Critical\" solution coupled with strong DevOps skills will be a significant asset for this position.

Your challenges:

• Gather and analyze the functional and technical requirements of the customer project, and define the pipeline architecture required for the solutions to be developed.


• Develop the solution's CI/CD pipelines in an environment as close as possible to the customer's using your IT/DevOps skills.


• Implement the security level in line with project requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, methods, and upgrade procedures.


• Participate in investigations and problem-solving.


• Lead technical discussions with the project and product managers to define the solution's development stages regarding DevSecOps aspects.

Your boarding pass:

• Significant professional experience in the field of at least 5 years (which may include work-study periods).


• Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes (rancher, k3s...) + Helm, Docker Swarm, Docker, Podman, LXC.


• CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Canary/Blue-Green, Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible.


• DevSecOps & Quality: Scanning (Trivy, Xray, Snyk, IaC scanning), Secrets (HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao), mTLS, JWT, Software Supply Chain Security (SBOM / SLSA), Linting and SAST (Hadolint, Sonarqube, TFlint, Ruff, ESLint).


• Networking, Cloud & Observability: Networking/Gateway API (Native Gateway API, KGateway, Istio, NGINX, Kong), Monitoring/Supervision (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), Cloud (GCP, AWS, Serverless, Cloud Run, EKS, AKS, GKE).


• IT, Database & Virtualization: Mastery of Linux environments, automation (Bash, Jfrog-CLI, Python), Virtualization (VMWare, Proxmox), and Database (MongoDB replica sets clusters/Sharding, PostgreSQL) with database administration skills.


• Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, ability to manage tense contexts, autonomy, commitment, analytical skills, and ability to report on complex subjects. Fluent technical English. Knowledge of Broadband Mission Critical solutions would be appreciated.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. The candidate must hold French nationality (constrained by Interministerial Instruction 901).
