Airbus Defence and Space SAS in Toulouse is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to reinforce the Attitude and Orbit Control System and Flight Dynamics divisions. You will implement IT infrastructure, enable software automation, and support development tools with DevOps practices for onboard software autocoding and control segments.

The role requires IT/Space domain experience, strong Java/Python/Matlab skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• IT Infra & Software Dev or Space domain experience.
• Software development with Java, Matlab, Python.
• System management, deployment and provisioning using IaC/CI tools (e.g., Ansible).
• DevOps toolchain: Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory.
• Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
• Remote desktop tech such as Citrix.
• Advanced English required.
• Team spirit, commitment, innovation, and strong communication.
• Agile project methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administrator activities: define and set up IT infrastructure in alignment with Digital & DigiSec teams; update/upgrade software; troubleshoot incidents; optimize performance.
• Guide development teams in project choices and agile practices; advance automation, testing, and CI/CD improvements; support daily operations.
• Focus on security: ensure IS security and policy compliance; integrate security constraints into deliveries.
• Coordinate with Digital teams and BRM to align business requirements and budget for maintenance and evolution opportunities.

Job Description: Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer (f/m) to join our Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) and Flight Dynamics division. This multi-national team develops its own tools and operates its own Information System (Business Owned Tools / BOT). The division is working on Software Development for Geostationary Telecom (Eurostar Neo, OneSat), Navigation, and Earth Observation satellites (Astrobus products), as well as R&T studies. You will be responsible for supporting the team in terms of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and implementing software automation in development tools (On-board software autocoding and Control segment software development) following DevOps principles.

Your challenges:

• System administrator activities: Define and set up IT infrastructure in close relation with Digital & DigiSec teams, compliant with both security laws and developers' team needs, Update and upgrade software/tools on department machines, Troubleshoot in case of incidents, Optimize performance of department IT infrastructure.
• DevOps activities: Guide development teams in project choice (Agility) in close relation with the Space Engineering DevOps network, Prepare upcoming changes following a continuous effort on technology intelligence, Push/propose new solutions to improve continuous testing/integration/delivery, Support the teams daily, Train people on new features and solutions, Ease developers' jobs through new tools and automation scripts.
• Focus Security activities: Ensure security and respect rules on our Information System (IS), Integrate security constraints into deliveries.
• Relationship with Digital: Engage with TSEA Business Relationship Manager (BRM) in order to push business requirements to Digital and capture transverse budget for maintenance and evolution opportunities, Engage with the Digital Security community in order to anticipate policy changes regarding Business Owned Tools (such as our IS) and sensitive systems and data.
