POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate maximizes sales by delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store is neat, clean, and well-presented at all times. The Sales Associate is expected to role model AEO values and AEO Customer First behaviors in all actions and interactions to create a positive Customer First experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently demonstrate the AEO Customer First selling standards to deliver a positive customer experience and achieve daily sales goals.
- Drive AE brand loyalty by being knowledgeable about all AEO loyalty programs and informing customers about each program.
- Use company tools and technology to confidently provide product knowledge, enhancing customer engagement and maximizing sales.
- Support fellow employees by sharing knowledge, helping complete tasks, and assisting in customer interactions.
- Suggest key looks and incorporate latest trends and current promotions based on the customer’s style to outfit the customer.
- Introduce customers to additional brand channels to promote awareness and growth of the AEO and aerie brands.
- Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately following cash control procedures and customer service guidelines.
- Restock return merchandise to correct locations; label and place damaged or defective merchandise appropriately at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized sales floor, cash wrap, fitting rooms, and stockroom to ensure a safe and presentable environment.
- Handle merchandise efficiently from shipment processing, floorsets, markdowns, and replenishment systems while following SOPs.
- Resolve customer concerns proactively in line with company policy, ensuring customer satisfaction; collaborate with store leadership on escalated issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales team, and associates.
- Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Open to feedback and willing to take appropriate action.
- Able to stand and move about for extended periods; capable of reaching, bending, and stooping to handle products.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Proficient with technology.
