Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief of Staff, the incumbent contributes with an appropriate degree of autonomy to Cabinet activities and the execution of its mandate. He/she will be responsible for liaison between the Cabinet and the Education Sector, providing guidance and reviewing content while keeping the Director-General and Chief of Staff closely informed and ensuring implementation of their decisions.

Education: Advanced University degree (Master's or equivalent) in international relations, educational policies, or related fields.
Work Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in educational policies, preferably two (2) years at the international level. Experience in international relations, diplomacy, multilateral cooperation, and development.
Skills & Competencies: Excellent organizational, coordination, analytical, communication, interpersonal, diplomatic, and advocacy skills.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of English or French and good working knowledge of the other language.
Additional qualifications include a master's in management, experience in international organizations or the UN system, and knowledge of UNESCO's programmes, priorities, and activities in education. Knowledge of another UNESCO official language is a plus.
