A leading technology company is looking for an Adsorbents Technology Engineer based in Rueil-Malmaison. This role involves preparing technical proposals for adsorbents and supporting sales initiatives. Ideal candidates will hold advanced degrees in engineering and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Some prior experience in engineering design is preferred. Short-term travel may be required.

Qualifications

MAIN MISSION

The mission of our Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to propose to our clients sustainable solutions, which are also efficient in terms of technologies / process, catalysts / adsorbents and services for the whole domains Axens is involved in (Oil & Biomass, Hydroprocessing & conversion, Petrochemicals production & purification, Gas and Water Treatment, CO2 capture). T&TS Business Division is responsible for the performance achieved in Axens client’s units and for maintaining the competitiveness of our offer in a very competitive market and during the energy transition period. Technologist position is at the crossroads of Axens core jobs, mixing marketing and technical support to sales, partnership of the performance of our Clients and piloting R&D actions to ensure our long-term competitiveness.

In the Low Carbon Solutions & Gas (LCSG) Group, we work on the design of basic or detailed engineering projects for our customers in the field of gas treatment, sulfur recovery and carbon capture.

Based in Rueil-Malmaison and assigned to the Dehydration & Purification Business Line, under the responsibility of the Associate Director, your field of intervention will concern all drying and purification applications. Our missions are to provide our clients some solutions for refining, petrochemicals, gas and water treatment, but also to develop new schemes for managing purification around alternative energy and the gas conditioning (Hydrogen, CO2, Biogas, Syngas).

As Adsorbents Technology Engineer, you draw up technical answers to tenders for adsorbents and you provide support to sales and marketing actions in your field of intervention for which you are one of the people who ensures our knowledge and expertise.

These missions are carried out in collaboration with the Sales Managers of the Commercial Division, as well as with our production facilities and other Axens entities : Process & Technical Services groups, Marketing, Procurement, Business Development and Technology Development & Innovation.

Your assignment will involve short-term overseas travel.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Preparing technical proposals to answer to calls for bids for adsorbents. For this, you determine performances, operating conditions and technical guarantees.
  • Providing technical support to the sales when defending technical proposals for customers and promote the products that you are in charge of through marketing actions : publications, presentations at conferences and seminars.
  • Managing and maintaining regular technical relations with clients through performance reviews, technical visits on site, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Carrying out technical assistance missions on the customer’s premises : presenting the results of monitoring, replacing adsorbents, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Participating in gathering, synthesizing and using data relative to adsorbents with feedbacks from the operational units that you monitor.
  • Maintaining technical expertise and contributing to the development of the product Line offering.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

You validated advanced scientific studies such as chemical or general engineering, allowing you to develop competencies in catalysis or adsorption. You preferably have an initial experience in basic engineering design, or in operating industrial units, or in the field of refining, petrochemical, natural or industrial gas processing.

A good level of English is fundamental for this position.

  • Self-discipline,pragmatism and analytical mind are required for the development of technical proposal and technical assistance tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Good team player with strong listening skills, in order to exchange with all your stakeholders.
  • Autonomy will be required very soon due to the small size of the team.
  • Availability to travel abroad for short periods.
