A mining company in Robertson is seeking an Administrative Clerk. The role involves stock control, assisting with admin tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates must have at least a Grade 12 qualification, a valid driver's license, and experience in a similar role. The job requires good communication skills in English, and knowledge of Afrikaans is advantageous. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in a similar role, preferably on a mining site.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with permission to tow a trailer.
  • Must be declared fit by an Occupational Medical Practitioner.

Responsabilités

  • Assisting Buyer with stock control and PPE issuance.
  • Maintaining and updating database and spreadsheets.
  • Ensuring all vehicles are filled with diesel on schedule.

Administrative Clerk

Minimum Qualification / Experience / Requirements

  • School Grade: Grade 12
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 Math’s, basic bookkeeping
  • Driver’s License: Yes – Valid driver’s license with permission to tow a trailer weighing more than 750kg’s (Min EB)
  • Technical/Core Training: Microsoft windows, weighbridge operational systems, time keepin
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar role, experience on a mining site and warehousing will be advantageous
  • Must be South African citizen
  • Must be declared fit by an Occupational Medical Practitioner to perform work on a mine in line with the code of Practice to Perform Work on a Mine and Mines Health and Safety Act
  • Disciplined individual with excellent time keeping skills, have a good record of work attendance, presentable and sober habits
  • Must be willing to work overtime as and when required to do so
  • Must display ability to read, write and communicate in English, ability to understand and communicate in Afrikaans can be advantageous
  • Must be able to lift 25kg’s

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

  • Assisting Buyer with stock control, issuing of PPE, monthly stock take, daily housekeeping
  • Assist in keeping all tasks related to the maintenance and ordering system (On Key) up to date
  • Assist diesel mechanic with admin work related to capturing of job cards, inspections, vehicle service schedules and diesel usages
  • Ensure all vehicles are filled with diesel at scheduled times (at workshop and mining area)
  • Knowledge of Winbridge POS system and willing to stand in in absence of Salesclerk
  • Maintaining database and spreadsheets as required related to your admin tasks
  • Adhering to all SHE rules and regulations related to the mining site
  • Performing and reasonable ad-hoc tasks requested by your supervisor or operational manager
  • The role reports to the Maintenance Manager for Langvlei mine
