Job Description:

The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the operations team at CIP-China for Asia Pacific (CCCAP).

About the role

This position will be based in the CCCAP Downtown office in Haidian District, Beijing. Under the supervision of the CCCAP director and the guidance of the Operation Officer, the candidate will work 40 hours per week, performing tasks assigned by the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with office activities such as managing schedules, organizing meetings, events, exhibitions, and visits.
  • Assist in travel arrangements, including hotel reservations, train/air tickets, managing assets, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Support Social and Economic Researchers by preparing and maintaining statistical data with basic analysis.
  • Review and proofread project-related agreements and contracts, with understanding of Chinese law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administration or general services, preferably in government departments.
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work under high pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and a positive attitude towards multitasking.
  • Good marketing and customer service skills.
