Participate in the management of maritime infrastructures in the Manche-Mer du Nord region. As a deputy officer third class, follow infrastructure programs, manage semaphore renovations, and contribute to energy transition efforts. An essential role in preserving this unique maritime space. #LI-JB1Mariners ensure the safety and protection of French maritime space 24/7 on all oceans and seas worldwide. On land, sea, and air, 40,000 sailors undertake missions of intelligence, prevention, intervention, protection, and deterrence.
The Manche-Mer du Nord region, shaped by currents and tides, is crucial for the French Navy. Extending from Mont-Saint-Michel to the Belgian border, it covers 870 km of coast. It hosts major ports, industrial sites, and natural and historical heritage. This maritime space is a vital maritime highway, supporting freight, passenger traffic, fishing, recreational activities, protected marine areas, and offshore wind energy. The FOSIT (Territorial Surveillance and Information Formation) ensures maritime approach monitoring through semaphore stations.
As a direct deputy of the third-class officer of FOSIT, responsible for infrastructure, the VOA will be tasked with:
