Job Description:

In our Operation & Maintenance department, and the technical support team, you will be primarily focusing on acoustics expertise but also on biodiversity expertise. You will closely collaborate with the teams involved in all projects in Europe.

The position is based in Paris La Défense (France).

Type of contract : Apprenticeship / Apprentissage

Main Responsibilities

  • Support acoustics and biodiversity engineering efforts within the department, assisting department leaders, power stations, and business development teams in managing this expertise within the Technical support team.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental policies related to acoustics and biodiversity across CGNEE portfolios in six European countries, including France, Ireland, Belgium, and others.
  • Provide technical support to asset managers for noise complaints, non-conformities, scheduling studies, and post-study analysis to balance compliance with operational efficiency.
  • Participate in implementing environmental measures, defining mitigation strategies, and monitoring their effectiveness during operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for tenders, proposals, evaluations, procurement, and payments.
  • Maintain and optimize environmental risk matrices and monitoring tools with the Tech support team leader.
  • Coordinate internal and external acoustic and environmental studies, ensuring smooth operation of studies with asset managers, DSO, OEMs, etc.
  • Enhance knowledge of French ICPE regulations and acoustic protocols, and familiarize with methodologies in other European countries.
  • Contribute to optimizing noise and environmental curtailments, evaluate mitigation solutions, and assess offers from OEMs and providers.
  • Report progress, challenges, and decisions to team leaders and management.
  • Draft action plans, perform root cause analyses, data analysis, and provide technical opinions within scope.
  • Monitor environmental legal and technical developments across Europe.
  • Organize and coordinate environmental inspections in France and respond to authorities' requests.
  • Support planning and permitting processes with technical opinions.
  • Assist business development in France and Belgium for re-powering projects, including study organization, project evaluation, and report review.

Additional tasks depending on profile and motivation include:

  • Support ISO14001 and ISO55001 compliance efforts, including corrective actions and KPI evaluations.
  • Assist in technical analysis and reporting on asset performance and environmental impacts.
  • Help prepare presentations for top management and parent company.

Requirements

  • Master/bachelor in Acoustics, Ecology, Bioacoustics, or related discipline.
  • Passion for environmental protection and renewable energy.
  • Knowledge of environmental and noise regulations and protocols.
  • Additional knowledge of mitigation solutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, VBA).
  • Motivated, dynamic, diligent, and honest.
  • Excellent team player, goal-oriented, curious, and quick learner.
