Job summary

Upway is seeking a Finance Leader in Paris to drive the accounting function as the business scales across multiple countries. You will oversee a team of 4 accountants, own the close process, and ensure accurate statutory reporting under local GAAP.

With a focus on process improvements, intercompany reconciliations, and VAT compliance, you will partner with FP&A, Ops, and leadership on market launches and fundraising due diligence. Strong governance and automation mindset required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including audit (Big 4 or equivalent).
• Experience in multi-entity or scale-up environments is a plus.
• Fluency in English and strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 4 accountants across multiple entities.
• Own monthly and annual close with a clear calendar and high-quality reports.
• Oversee statutory financial statements under local GAAP.
• Manage intercompany flows and consolidation preparation for the group.
• Drive automation and process improvements in accounting and reporting.
