Description du poste

MAIN MISSION

Accounting manager for French perimeter provides accounting data, statutory accounts and all related documentation, and is in charge of all tax returns. He/she makes sure that accounting and tax rules/requirements and internal control processes are strictly applied and that deadlines are met.

She/He is deeply involved in projects such as implementation, upgrade or stabilization of IT tools like ERP or any software used by finance team.

She/he is the main point of contact for internal auditors, external (statutory) auditors, tax inspectors in case of tax audit, etc.

She/he directly reports to the Head of accounting and manages the accounting team based in France. She/he oversees the French accounting team, and works closely to accounting teams based in shared service centers in order to ensure accurate and reliable accounting data, respect of deadlines and payment terms.

She supports the GO IFRS consolidation team to any of their questions.

Main responsibilities:

Accounting processes

The accounting process includes the following streams: purchase to pay, treasury and tax depending on the local specificities & organization.

  1. Manage the closings for both legal entities AXA Group Operations SAS and GIE AXA Group Operations France (monthly/quarterly/annual)
  2. Ensure timely production and reliability of the financial statements and tax declarations
  3. Ensure compliance with France accounting rules and AXA group’s internal control rules
  4. Ensure tax declarations are compliant with France tax rules
  5. Understand and optimize local processes by implementing action plans or strengthening offshoring processes
  6. Monitor and analyze balance sheets and other accounting and tax reports
  7. Provide management with on time & relevant accounting data
  8. Assist the management on ad hoc topics
  9. Participate actively to the transversal initiatives

Management

  1. Supervise the France accounting teams
  2. Ensure the proper integration of each accountant in the accounting team
  3. Build efficient accounting team and develop talent
  4. Build an efficient relationship with AGBS shared service

  1. AXA GO controlling team in charge of the budget & the costs controlling
  2. AXA GO commercial finance in charge of the discussions with the customers & the revenues

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires an experience in management and strong accounting knowledge.

Technical skills

  • Level of training: Master's degree, business school or chartered accountant level.
  • Accounting, taxation and company laws:
    • Strong knowledge of French local GAAP rules and, ideally, international accounting rules (IFRS), as well as technical, regulatory and tax knowledge applicable to his/her field of activity (environment, risks and challenges, Loi de Finance, DGCCRF, VAT, reliable audit trail, etc)
    • Knowledge of accounting and tax rules relating to restructuring (mergers, asset purchase, liquidations, TUP etc.)
    • Expertise in reviewing VAT returns, tax returns and transfer pricing
    • Knowledge of internal control rules
    • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP (S/4HANA)
    • Very good command of Excel
