The Role
We're looking for an Accounting Apprentice to join our Finance team and contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of Filigran. In this role, you'll support our senior accountants in maintaining accurate financial records, improving reporting processes, and helping to ensure smooth and compliant operations. It's a hands-on opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-moving, international tech company.
Your Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you'll take part in various essential tasks, including:
- Uploading supplier invoices into our accounting software to ensure accurate and timely documentation of transactions.
- Processing and verifying supplier invoices: validating details, assigning analytical codes, and checking payment status.
- Creating and maintaining supplier records in the accounting system (general information, account coding, VAT rules, analytical assignments).
- Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between internal records and bank statements.
- Supporting financial audits and internal reporting by ensuring data completeness and traceability.
- Participating in specific finance projects (e.g., identifying and tagging company assets for better fixed-asset management).
- Assisting in the implementation of automation tools or accounting process improvements.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with teams like HR and Marketing to align finance workflows with operational needs.
Who You'll Work WithYou'll be part of a collaborative and supportive finance function:
- You'll report directly to the Senior Accountant, who will guide and mentor you throughout your apprenticeship.
- You'll work closely with teams across the company-including HR, Operations, and Marketing-to ensure accurate financial tracking and interdepartmental alignment.
- You'll be exposed to modern finance tools and an international, tech-driven environment.
Profile We're Looking For- Education: Currently pursuing or having completed a Bac +2 (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or business.
- Experience: Some prior exposure to accounting through coursework, internships, or work-study programs.
- Languages: Comfortable communicating in English in both written and spoken form.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, good organization, and sound analytical thinking.
- Mindset: Curious, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable taking initiative within a structured framework.
- Tools: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pennylane) and general office tools (Excel).
