An Account Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the sales strategy for assigned accounts and prospecting for new clients. An Account Manager performs a wide variety of tasks and the ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues is essential.

Location: Onsite in Coon Rapids, MN (This is not a remote position)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage sales funnel to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Collaborate with a Sales Admin team responsible for managing renewals and assisting with quotes.
  • Work within a POD structure alongside 1-2 outside sales representatives.
  • Strong commitment to reliability, timeliness, and active participation in scheduled meetings.
  • Develop assigned accounts to increase sales.
  • Sell products and services at established profit goals.
  • Uphold Verus business ethics by ensuring our solutions provide clients with increased efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services, Verus sales processes, markets, trends, competitors, and clients to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create selling opportunities for Verus products and services.
  • Utilize CRM to establish and maintain a well-qualified database.
  • Strive for self-improvement by establishing and working to reach professional and personal development goals.
  • Additional duties as directed.
WHO FITS?
  • High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within the technology industry with a technology provider or Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Experience handling client deals up to $25,000 or $1,500/month, with the ability to escalate larger deals to outside sales representatives as needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients.
  • Self-starter, ability to plan and implement sales strategy with limited supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, goal-driven environment.
  • Highly organized, ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activity.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate ability to deal effectively and professionally with all types of people and situations.
  • Proficient with business collaboration tools including MS Office applications and company specific programs.
  • Availability to work in the office during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8AM – 5 PM).
