ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
The Account Executive is a sales position responsible for developing, qualifying, and closing new business in Hospitality, Meeting/Venue Space, Food & Beverage, DMC, or Hotel/Resort sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Identify business opportunities by researching and analyzing sales prospects.
- Establish new accounts through cold calls and face-to-face interactions; follow up on qualified referrals to expand the sales territory.
- Maintain high levels of customer service standards.
- Build rapport with potential customers through effective communication and product knowledge to generate revenue opportunities.
- Contact clients to ensure satisfaction and increase sales through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Highlight product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss payment terms, and prepare sales order forms.
- Meet personal and company goals while collaborating with other team members.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity reports, weekly plans of action, and monthly territory analysis.
- Stay current on product knowledge and consumer preferences.
- Gather information on pricing and new products to monitor completion.
- Resolve customer issues to ensure positive feedback and improve business relationships.
- Maintain quality of service by adhering to organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in the Event Rental, DMC, Catering Sales, Event Management, Hotel/Resort Group, Venue Space Sales, or Trade Show Sales industries. Outside sales experience from other industries will be considered.
