Qualifications

  • 5 ans d'expérience, dont 2 en conception mécanique dans le design intérieur.
  • Compétences en communication orale et écrite en français et anglais.

  • Superviser des études de performance sur le flux des passagers.

About the job:

Within the Central Engineering entity, more accurately in the “Train Architecture for Passengers” team, we are looking for an Accessibility & Inclusive Design Engineer (F/M), specialist in the field of interior design, in order to strengthen the expertise of our train design teams located worldwide.

As part of your missions you will be in charge of:

  1. Contributing to define the best practices for interior fitting and train layouts for passenger needs (habitability, accessibility, contrast, gripping bars, information management (visual, audible, tactile)).
  2. Applying the defined inclusive design rules during project execution in accordance with contractual requirements.
  3. Carrying out and/or supervising passenger flow performance studies (exchange, evacuation) for rolling stock and proposing the necessary optimizations to guarantee the contractual requirements of the projects.
  4. Contributing to return of experience about the normative and regulatory requirements in terms of inclusive design and accessibility for the different areas of the world (state of the art).

More broadly, within the “Train Design” metier central team, you will participate in:

  1. Ensuring consistency of the metier rules linked with high level architecture design in accordance with the perceived quality, the tolerancing management, the weight management,…
  2. Designing and implementation of trainings in inclusive design & accessibility field.
  3. Exchange with the network of experts (climatic comfort, ergonomics, lighting comfort,…).

Your various missions will lead you to work with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. Travel (a few days per month) may also be required.

Your profile:

  1. You have at least five years of experience, including at least two in mechanical design (Catia) in the field of interior design, ideally in the field of transport (automotive, aeronautic, railway). Experience in the fields of crowd movement and general ergonomics will also be appreciated.
  2. Pragmatic and structured, you are comfortable in the exchange.
  3. Good communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English.
