A game studio is seeking a highly motivated 3D Artist intern to contribute to creating exciting games. You'll work with the Art team to optimize and create 3D assets in a colorful style. The ideal candidate has good knowledge of Unreal Engine and 3D production software like Maya or Blender. This is a 6-month internship based in Lyon, with a hybrid model, flexible hours, and additional perks like meal vouchers.

Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team. Emeteria is currently looking for a highly motivated and talented 3D Artist intern (F/M) to join our adventure at NEW TALES group.

What is the job about?

As part of the Art team, you will contribute to the game by optimizing, dressing, integrating and doing assets in a colorful universe. You will help producing all types of 3D assets in a semi-realistic style to build the game\'s scenery while respecting the artistic and technical constraints of the project.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Optimize 3D and 2D assets to be compliant with the technical constraint of the project
• Create 3D environmental assets, including sculpting, retopology, texturing and integration into game engine (UE5)
• Work in engine (UE), material setup/optimization (LOD)
• Level building using a bank of assets already created

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• Autonomy over integration, material creation, optimization and more in Unreal engine
• Very good knowledge of next gen 3D production software (Maya or Blender, Substance Painter, etc.)
• End of School student (min Bachelor or equivalent)
• Spoken and written English

What are a plus (not mandatory)?

• Skilled in any others art creation aspects (concept art, organic assets, UI, etc)
• Experience as a player and/or a previous role on an Action RPG
• French spoken

- Be a true team member, able to build relationships and build respect and trust.

Additional informations

• 6 months Internship, ideally from March / April 2026
• 1 paid leave per month fully worked (in case of 6 months internship only)
