Job Description:

We have a new opportunity for a 3-month assignment for an experienced Catia V5 Mechanical Design engineer to complete our team of engineers for our new Regional Formula 3.

Key responsibilities / Duties

The designs will include systems definition and packaging, bodywork studies, and production drawings, feasibility studies, and concepts of new sub-systems such as cooling, steering, chassis design, bodywork, engine systems, and suspension:

  • Definition, design, and production drawings of mechanical and composite parts in team collaboration, involving multi-functional activities.
  • Dimensioning of parts compliant with technical regulations and cost targets.
  • Collaboration and co-design with partner suppliers.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to develop and optimize parts design.
Candidate Profile
  • Graduate mechanical engineer
  • Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in motorsport design offices
  • Minimum 3 years experience with CATIA V5 (3D and 2D proficiency): part design, assembly design, surface modeling, stress analysis
  • Experience with FEM software (MSC SimDesigner) or CATIA integrated modules
  • Experience with CFD software and concepts
  • Good knowledge of small batch machining, fabrication, and composite production
  • Proficient in French and English languages
  • European passport or authorized to work in France
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently from a design brief for component design and calculations. Will be part of our Design Office team of 4 engineers.
