Job Description

KEARNEY ENERGY TRANSITION INSTITUTE – INTERNSHIP

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

As a junior analyst, the intern will participate first-hand in the research activities of the Kearney Energy Transition Institute (ETI). Under the supervision of a manager, the intern will be involved at all stages of the delivery process, including: data collection, literature review, possible interviews with stakeholders (e.g. academics, industry, international organization…), issue and data analysis (e.g. build issue tree, develop dummy pack, excel modeling…), and drafting the FactBook (i.e. draft slides, ensure quality control).

On top of day-to-day research, the intern may be involved on ad-hoc basis in other ETI activities such as preparing notes for management, supporting communication efforts, or assisting with presentations to stakeholders.

The position is based in Paris (2, rue des Italiens, 75009). Duration is up to 6 months. Depending on corporate possibilities, the candidate could allocate part of the internship to a consulting project.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must be pursuing or possess a master’s degree with some kind of specialization in quantitative analysis, engineering and/or business.
  • Must have English full professional proficiency
  • Must have basic understanding of the energy transition challenges
  • Must possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, be proficient in Excel and thoroughly understand Word, PowerPoint and basic IT software.
  • Must be detail-oriented, intellectually curious and a fast learner
  • Must be flexible, at ease with a multicultural environment and a team player
About the Kearney Energy Transition Institute (ETI)
