DESCRIPTION


Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding, and we are seeking an Operational Security Specialist Intern to join our growing Data Centre team.


As a Data Centre Operational Security Specialist Intern, your responsibilities will include enhancing operational security within our Data Centres. You will prepare reports, develop presentations, and communicate security status updates to management.


This internship lasts for 12 weeks, during which you will participate in our program at our Data Centres.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with vendors involved in security infrastructure projects, repairs, and daily security operations.
  2. Analyze security data to identify improvements.
  3. Recommend enhancements for electronic surveillance and access control systems.
  4. Educate Data Centre occupants on reducing false alarms.

Internship details: full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks, reporting onsite daily, typically Monday to Friday. Full-time roles may include varied shifts and on-call duties.

Basic Qualifications
  • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's Degree in Security, Risk Management, Criminology/Criminal Justice, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in investigating incidents such as thefts, disturbances, and discrepancies.
  • Ability to identify security gaps in physical barriers, procedures, policies, and surveillance systems.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
