Position title: Nordic Junior Brand Manager for Nestlé Purina PetCare (Temporary 1 year Contract)

Location: Espoo (Finland)

Your job

As our new Nordic Junior Brand Manager, you will be an integral part of the Nordic Marketing team at Purina PetCare. Your role will be based at our Finnish offices in Espoo, and you will report directly to our Nordic Marketing Manager, but work very closely with the Brand Manager working on Latz.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the growth of Purina in the Cat Snacks category in Nordics. This will involve developing brand plans and collaborating with the Sales and Market Development, as well as Shopper Teams to create effective marketing strategies. Your key focus will be on aligning the zone-wide strategy with the specific needs of the Nordic markets and ensuring exceptional brand execution.

In essence, you will be responsible for:

• Building strong brand plans that will delight target consumers and generate solid business results in the Nordic markets (Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark).
• Ensuring that the brand’s essence governs everything the brand says and does.
• Driving the brand strategy for your brand portfolio, as well as planning and executing product launches, relaunches, and mixes.
• Managing the brand budget efficiently. Adapt and develop communication assets to our local markets and work closely with our Media agency.

You will work together with the other Brand Managers towards accelerating the growth of the Purina portfolio. We are a truly energetic and passionate team, consisting of a mix of nationalities and backgrounds. We take responsibility for our actions and believe that progress beats perfection. We value good relationships and open communication, and we act as the voice of the consumer in the organization. It is not a requirement that you have a pet at home to be a part of the team, as long as you have a curious mindset and are passionate about consumers and their behaviors. Limited business travel is to be expected in this role.

To thrive in this role, we seek an individual with great communication skills, who can easily navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape, managing a brand portfolio towards winning market share and support the whole marketing team with operational tasks.

In addition to this, you:

• Hold an educational background within Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a similar commercial discipline, preferably from within the FMCG industry.
• Are fluent in English and Finnish, other Nordic languages (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) are considered a benefit.
• Are an experienced user of Microsoft Office.
• Exhibit advanced analytical skills and a commercial mindset, enabling you to be target-oriented and a proactive problem-solver.
• Enjoy seamlessly transitioning between strategic planning and daily operational tasks.
• Embody the qualities of a strong and positive team player, relishing the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment.
