Job summary

Turku City’s Lifestyle & Wellness Unit seeks a fixed-term Fitness Services Manager to lead the development and planning of activities and communications for working-age adults and older people across Turku. The role aims to activate residents to move more and improve well-being through physical activity.

You will work in collaboration with other adult sports team members, applying knowledge of movement behavior and barriers to movement to build inclusive programs.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic degree (AMK) or equivalent in sports/physical activity.
• Experience with development tasks in sport and physical activity.
• Understanding of adult target groups' movement behavior and barriers.
• Familiarity with municipal sports administration and communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities for working-age adults and older people.
• Create and manage communications to promote physical activity.
• Collaborate with the adult sports team and other responsible persons.
• Support program implementation across Turku.
