Job summary

Altitude Executive Search is partnering with a major high-tech and industrial company to recruit a VP, Strategy Execution & PMO. You will lead and support the execution of company-level strategic projects central to the renewal and growth strategy, working closely with top management across international operations.

The role reports to the SVP, Strategy & M&A. The position is based in the Helsinki region with travel of 15–30 days annually to support domestic and international initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience and track-record in leading and supporting strategic projects, as an inhouse PMO or senior consultant.
• Strong knowhow, experience and practical competences in project methodology, portfolio management and board reporting.
• Experience in larger international industrial high-tech companies; M&A activities and major investments are assets.
• Excellent cooperation and communications skills; clear and hands-on mindset.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

Job description

Altitude Executive Search is looking for a “VP, Strategy Execution & PMO” for our Client, a major high-tech and industrial company. The company develops, manufactures and markets technology driven high-tech products, and operates internationally. Turnover is roughly in range of 2.000 – 3.000 million euro’s. Growth strategy. You will work closely with the company top management to lead and support successful execution of company level strategic projects, which are in the core of the company’s renewal and growth strategy.

The role reports to SVP, Strategy & M&A. The location for the position is in Helsinki region. The role requires some domestic and international travelling, estimated at 15 – 30 days annually.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Strong experience and track-record in leading and supporting strategic projects, as an inhouse “PMO” or in a senior level consultant role, combination of these would be very interesting. You may have relevant experience in leading similar strategic project portfolio / must-win-battles also in other roles, for example as M&A Director, Strategy Director.
• Strong knowhow, experience and practical competences in project methodology, portfolio management, building project portfolio roadmaps as well as Leadership team / Board reporting.
• Experience in working in larger international industrial high-tech companies is seen as a preference. Earlier experience for example in M&A activities, major investment projects and/or driving operational performance are clear assets.
• Excellent cooperation and communications skills is needed. Clarity, determination, supportive and hands-on working style and mindset.
• Full fluency in Finnish and in English is required.
• Education: relevant academic degree, strong IT skills.
• Will to learn the dynamics of this specific industry segment.
