IQM Finland Oy is seeking a Vice President of Product to translate quantum R&D milestones into a practical product roadmap for cloud providers, HPC centers, system integrators, and sovereign cloud initiatives worldwide. You will lead the product team, collaborating with Technology and Commercial leadership to shape a scalable, market-driven quantum computing strategy.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in engineering, physics, CS, business, or related field.
10+ years' senior leadership experience in product management.
Experience in deep-tech, R&D intensive environments bringing complex tech to market.
Track record translating strategy and customer insights into product strategy.

Responsibilities

Translate technical milestones into a scalable product roadmap with internal stakeholders.
Own governance across on-premises hardware, software, integration, and cloud offerings.
Lead and grow a high-performing product team across roles.
Guide shift from research to industrial QEC/FTQC systems.
Identify market opportunities with Sales/Commercial teams.
Partner with executive leadership on prioritization and budgeting.

The work

Quantum computers are moving out of the lab and into real industrial use, and someone has to decide what we will build next. As VP of Product, that someone is you. You will turn IQM's technical milestones and R&D breakthroughs into a product roadmap that makes sense for cloud providers, HPC centers, system integrators, and sovereign cloud initiatives around the world. You will lead our product team and work closely with Technology and Commercial leadership. This is a role for someone who wants to shape how quantum computing becomes a practical, scalable industry, while it's still being defined.

We are looking for someone action oriented and hands-on where it counts, who puts IQM's success as the north start while still investing in the team around them.

What you’ll actually do

Translate IQM's technical and R&D milestones into a clear, scalable product roadmap which is built together with internal stakeholders, including Technology teams
Own product governance across our on-premises hardware, software, integration, and cloud offerings
Lead and build high performing Product team, by developing individual growth
Guide the shift from NISQ era research systems toward industrial QEC and FTQC systems
Identify new market opportunities, industries and customer segments for our products in close partnership with Sales and Commercial teams, as the roadmap needs to be grounded in real customer demand
Partner with executive leadership on strategic prioritization and budget planning
Balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, and long-term strategy in every product decision
Represent IQM at global summits, industry events, and executive level forums

What we’re looking for

A Master's or PhD in engineering, physics, computer science, business, or a related field
Significant senior leadership experience (10+ years) in product management, including running manager of managers structures
Experience in deep tech, R&D intensive, or scientific product environments, bringing complex, research driven technology to market
A track record of translating company strategy and customer insights into successful product strategy
Experience translating technical innovation into scalable, commercially viable products
Experience configuring a product portfolio for maximum customer value while optimizing commercial results
Strong executive level communication skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders across functions and geographies
Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast-moving deep tech environment

Seen as an advantage

Prior experience in quantum computing or an adjacent deep tech field
Experience working with HPC centers, cloud providers, or sovereign cloud initiatives
Prior experience with the important business models and their evolution over time in a computing industry
