Job summary

Hitachi Energy Vaasa is seeking a Testing Specialist to perform routine, type and special tests on power transformers and reactors in line with safety regulations and technical specs. You will work closely with customers worldwide during factory acceptance tests.

The role offers an international environment with training and support to grow in the field. You will join an experienced team using state‑of‑the‑art measurement tools and facilities.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical properties of power transformers and reactors.
• Strong organizing and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent in English and Finnish; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform routine, type and special tests on power transformers up to 400MVA, 420kV and reactors up to 200MVAr.
• Lead factory acceptance tests with project managers in close contact with customers.
• Commitment to safe work practices and following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
