Job summary

The Switch is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join our Vaasa, Lappeenranta or Helsinki team. You will drive sales of electric machines and power electronics, focusing on DC-Hubs and drives for marine applications, while building strong relationships with key accounts.

Ideal candidates have a BSc in electrical engineering, experience with power electronics, and excellent English communication. This role offers hybrid options and the chance to work with a global, Japan-based multinational.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc degree in electrical engineering, preferably with focus on power electronics.
• Experience with power electronics products.
• Strong interest in sales and business development.
• English communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
• Proactive and curious mindset, eager to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
• Experience in customer-facing roles (sales, technical support, or project engineering).
• Knowledge of marine industry, shipbuilding, or marine electrical systems.
• Technical understanding of frequency converters, battery systems, or rotating electric machines.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• International work or study experience.
• Proficiency in languages such as Finnish or Swedish.

Responsibilities

Key focus areas

• Driving sales of The Switch’s electric machines and power electronics, with a primary focus on DC-Hubs and single drives for marine applications

The recruitment process

• The process is expected to be finalized by November 27, 2026, with a start date to be agreed upon

The starting salary for this role ranges from approximately €4,000 to €5,000. The final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s skills and experience and is negotiable for highly experienced candidates with unique strengths.
