Job summary

Mylab, a Nordic health tech company in Tampere, is seeking a Lead Software Developer to guide a development team using the My+ laboratory information system. You will balance hands-on coding with architectural oversight, champion scalable, maintainable solutions, and explore AI-assisted development ethically with the team.

This role offers flexible remote work and occasional Tampere office visits, plus a strong benefits package and opportunities to grow in an internationally expanding health

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development and understanding of large system landscapes.
• Production‑grade backend in JVM environments; Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot valued.
• Strong command of relational databases including data modelling and migrations.
• Demonstrated technical leadership at team level.
• Hands‑on product development with React and Material UI valued; AI tools used responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for the development team and guide decisions.
• Drive solutions within architectural guidelines and ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, Product Owners and architects across the organization.
• Contribute hands‑on to software development and shape AI practices within the team.
