Job summary

Elisa Viihde Development seeks a Team Manager to lead about 16 software engineering professionals, spanning junior to senior levels, across the development stack. You will focus on people leadership, growth, and evolving ways of working to deliver value for customers through cloud-enabled initiatives.

The role reports to the Head of Viihde Development and involves collaboration with product teams, stakeholders, vendors and leaders across Digital Services.

Great digital products are built by skilled people and strong teams. We are looking for an experienced Team Manager who enjoys helping people grow, strengthening software development teams and creating an environment where experts can do their best work.

About the role

In this role, you will lead approximately 16 software engineering professionals working on Elisa Viihde product development. Your team members range from junior to senior specialists, and their work covers the whole development stack. Your focus will be people leadership: supporting growth, strengthening capabilities and developing ways of working. This is not a hands‑on development, product ownership or delivery management role, but success requires previous experience in software product development and a good understanding of agile ways of working.

The teammaintainsanddevelops current solutions, supports the transitionfromon-premiseenvironmentsto cloud, andbuildsnew enablersandfeaturesthat createvalue for customers.ElisaViihdeDevelopment is part of the Entertainment Solutions unit, and we work closely with colleagues across Digital Services.

You will report to the Head of Viihde Development and work closely with product teams, stakeholders, vendors and fellow leaders across Digital Services.

Most of the team is based in Helsinki, and we expect our new manager to support the team in person around three days per week, either at the Helsinki office or in other locations where team members are working. As a multinational team, we work in English and follow a hybrid working model that combines flexibility with meaningful in-person collaboration. The role also includes regular travel within Finland and occasional visits to Estonia.

• Develop team practices and support agileways of workingtogether with other team leads in ElisaViihde, Entertainment Solutions and Digital Services.
• Collaborate with our Estonian colleagues, product, technology and business stakeholders to help teams deliver value effectively.
• Support cooperation with external vendors and partners as part of Elisa Viihde Development’steam.

What we hope youbring

• Several years of people leadership experience in a technology organisation, including previous experience in software product development.
• Experience leading hybrid and preferably multinational teams.
• A coaching leadership style, withconcrete examples ofhelpingpeople grow, build competence and progress in their careers.
• Evidence of improving team well‑being, collaboration, ways of working or developmentpracticesinpreviousroles.
• A good understanding of agile software product development and how product development teams work in practice. A technical background is beneficial but not required.
• Genuine interest in the services our customers use and motivation to understand the customer experience first‑hand.
• Ability to create direction, build trust andhelpteamsstay focused as product development needs evolve.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal stakeholders, other leaders,vendorsand partners.
• Fluent Finnish and English skills, as the role involves collaboration with both Finnish‑speaking stakeholders and an international team.
