Job summary

Elisa Viihde Development in Helsinki is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a squad of about 16 software engineering professionals across the product development lifecycle. You will focus on people leadership, career growth and fostering an environment where experts can do their best work.

This role is not hands-on coding or delivery management; you will collaborate with product teams, stakeholders and vendors, support agile ways of working, and travel within Finland and to Estonia as

Qualifications

• Several years of people leadership experience in a technology organisation, including experience with software product development.
• Experience leading hybrid and multinational teams.
• A coaching leadership style with concrete examples of growth and development of team members.
• Proven ability to foster collaboration, trust and well-being in a diverse, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach software engineering professionals in product development.
• Support career development, competence growth and development discussions for staff at different career stages.
• Build an atmosphere where specialists feel trusted, supported and motivated to do their best work.
• Support team well-being, psychological safety and sustainable ways of working in a hybrid, multinational environment.
• Develop team practices and support agile ways of working with other team leads across Elisa Viihde, Entertainment Solutions and Digital Services.
• Collaborate with Estonian colleagues, product, technology and business stakeholders to help teams deliver value.
• Support cooperation with external vendors and partners as part of Elisa Viihde Development’s team.
