CapMan is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our Helsinki office. You will lead sustainability data reporting for CapMan Plc, investment teams, and portfolio companies, while supporting the sustainability team in daily activities.

This role offers growth in project management, reporting, and data skills within real assets and private equity contexts. Ideal candidates have 2–6 years in sustainability reporting, a relevant degree, and strong English and Finnish communication.

Job description

The CapMan Sustainability team consists of seven sustainability professionals based in Helsinki and Stockholm. Most team members work with sustainability value creation and are specialised in our respective asset classes and aligned to one investment team. The Sustainability Reporting Specialist is dedicated to sustainability data and reporting across CapMan Plc and the investment teams. The Sustainability team is responsible for developing and driving the ambitious sustainability strategy across CapMan.

We are now looking to recruit a full-time Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our Helsinki office.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to run the sustainability reporting for CapMan Plc and across our investment teams and portfolio companies as well as assisting the sustainability team in their daily work. This position provides an ideal opportunity to develop your project management, reporting and data skills in real assets and private equity.

As a Sustainability Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for various activities related to sustainability data and reporting, including:

• Project managing the sustainability statement in CapMan Plc annual report, CapMan Investment Sustainability Report as well as voluntary reporting, such as PRI, UNGC and TNFD
• Managing investor and industry data requests, including investor questionnaires and due diligence requests, EDCI and assisting with GRESB reporting
• Running the CapMan portfolio company data collection and coordinating with Sustainability team, portfolio companies and the ESG platform, including portfolio company training and assistance, ongoing portfolio company data collection and calculation support, data quality checks and platform corrections
• Annually updating/reviewing the portfolio company data points
• Assisting the investment teams with annual SFDR disclosures and periodic fund reporting
• Responsible for ESG platform administration, including data quality and consistency controls and user support and troubleshooting
• Sustainability data management (PLC & Group reporting support)
• CapMan Plc GHG data collection, calculation and quality checks
• Assisting the Sustainability team in their daily work and in sustainability development projects

Who you are

To be successful in this role we believe that you:

• Have strong project management skills
• Have a relevant academic degree, for example in Sustainability, Finance, Law, Economics, or related fields
• Have between 2-6 years prior experience from in sustainability reporting, preferably in private markets investments or finance
• Demonstrate strong drive, initiative, and problem-solving skills, along with a desire for continuous learning
• Have an analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in English and Finnish required
