Stockmann in Helsinki is seeking a Store Designer to lead renewal projects, creating inspirational, customer centric store environments and space concepts.
You will develop commercial floor plans, design guidelines, and coordinating with product categories, merchandisers and external partners to bring concepts to life.
The role includes delivering design materials for approvals, overseeing implementation on the shop floor, and traveling to other department stores as needed.

You will lead the planning and execution of store design projects and translate customer insights into impactful in-store experiences.
This is a permanent position and you will be located at the Head Office in Helsinki Flagship Store.
As a Store Designer you will have responsibility for planning renewal and change projects of our department stores. You get to work cross-functionally to gather data and insights that can be turned to customer centric communication and activities.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Part of your role is to produce necessary design materials for approval and implementation phases. If necessary, you place project-related orders and control the implementation in the store floor with Project Manager. You participate in the critical rounds of projects and the implementation of the necessary changes in your area of responsibility.
To be able to succeed in this role you have relevant educational background from design and at least 5 years of experience of interior and store design. With that experience you have strong understanding of retail business, department stores and brand concepts that are needed in this position.
You communicate fluently in Finnish and in English (written and spoken) and you have strong communication skills to be able to work with various stakeholders internally and externally. You understand what the customer needs and you can build stores and concepts based on customer insights, targeted customer segments and customer feedback.
Although you will be placed in Helsinki, this role includes also traveling to other department stores.
