Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for a greenfield AI/data product. You’ll shape design foundations, collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and product management, and own the craft from problem to shipped UI.

As one of the first designers, you’ll build a world-class team culture, define patterns, and drive user-centered decisions in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment that blends space tech with actionable intelligence.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating top-tier UX for data-heavy products.
• Experience designing for AI/ML workflows.
• Led design work that improved adoption or metrics.
• Strong user research and synthesis skills.
• Ability to work directly with engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Own design end-to-end for the product, from research to shipped UI.
• Talk to users regularly and translate findings into decisions.
• Make AI/data-heavy workflows feel simple and intuitive.
• Prototype quickly and test with real users/data.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product teams.
• Set design foundations, patterns, and quality standards.
• Push craft and provide sharp, actionable feedback.
