Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland, is seeking an Engineering Team Lead (Geospatial Analytics) to guide a product engineering team turning remote sensing data into fast, reliable analytics during live events. You will partner with Product Management and Operations to shape roadmap and ensure performance across multiple products.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong Python, SAR knowledge, and experience deploying analytics at scale in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Hands-on leadership as a line manager or tech lead with delivery track record.
Experience partnering with product and operations teams in outcome-driven work.
History taking analytics from prototype to production with latency/uptime focus.
Experience building ML models or analytics pipelines using SAR / remote sensing data.
Solid SAR knowledge and change detection techniques.
Strong Python, Git, testing, CI and Docker on AWS; capable to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and own the product engineering team including hiring and growth.
Set technical direction across analytics and engineering from research to production.
Work with Product Manager on roadmap and priorities from customer needs.
Design analytics to serve multiple products in the portfolio.
Collaborate with Operations on event response ensuring latency and quality.
Contribute to analytical development (SAR / geospatial ML) and validation.
Maintain engineering standards across the team and review practices.
