Skylo Technologies, based in Espoo, Finland, is pioneering direct-to-device satellite connectivity. We are hiring a Staff Network Performance Engineer to own KPI definition and implementation within our OSS platform and ensure metric accuracy before production.

This role bridges raw network data with dashboards used by Engineering, NetOps, and leadership. You will work on KPI formulas, dashboards, and validation tests across RAN, Core, and satellite networks, collaborating with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 8+ years in telecom network performance, OSS/BSS, or network engineering roles with KPI/metric ownership.
• Experience implementing and validating KPIs/metrics on an OSS/EMS platform (counter & formula config).
• Solid understanding of 3GPP counters and KPIs across RAN and Core; NB-IoT/ NTN/ satellite experience is a plus.
• Design and execute validation test plans in lab/pre-production environments with sign-off before production.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data validation; familiarity with Grafana for dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Implement network performance KPIs and metrics for the OSS platform (availability, latency, throughput).
• Build and configure KPI formulas, counters, and dashboards with OSS and NetOps teams.
• Design and run validation tests to confirm KPI accuracy and prevent counter drift.
• Align KPI definitions with Network Implementation, NetOps and Test teams’ needs.
• Maintain a single source of truth for KPI definitions, thresholds, and data lineage.
• Identify gaps in observability and propose new metrics or retire obsolete ones.
