Job summary

AlphaSense in Helsinki, Finland is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to own the Android architecture and mobile-facing foundations across customer workflows. You will shape technical decisions, validation practices, and delivery patterns to build fast, secure native experiences at scale.

This hands-on role demands long-term impact through architecture ownership, collaboration with iOS and backend teams, and AI-enabled validation that makes Android delivery safer and more confident in enterprise

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in modern production Android architecture and setting technical standards.
• Ability to shape cross-functional architecture decisions involving backend, web, and product choices.
• Experience reading, debugging, and contributing to backend systems to unblock mobile outcomes.
• Experience shaping AI-enabled engineering systems for validation, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Android platform foundation and architecture.
• Lead through hands-on Android system design and durable production patterns.
• Improve reliability, validation, and deployment practices, including AI-assisted methods.
• Define clear mobile-facing contracts with iOS, backend, product, and design teams.
• Raise mobile-system judgment and establish reusable standards across teams.
