Job summary

SiTime seeks a Sr. Engineer, MEMS Assembly to advance wafer-level packaging technologies for next-generation timing products. You will work with MEMS back-end assembly and packaging partners to enhance manufacturability, yield, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in MEMS assembly, a strong MEMS foundation, and experience bringing MEMS products to production. This role emphasizes collaboration across design, fabrication, and packaging teams.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial MEMS experience.
• Experience bringing MEMS products to production is preferred.
• Strong understanding of MEMS design interactions with fabrication and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEMS back-end assembly and packaging partners to develop MEMS wafer-level packaging technologies.
• Evaluate impact of assembly processes on device performance and reliability; ensure high yield and quality.
• Work with MEMS design/characterization teams to ensure manufacturability and validation.
• Coordinate and perform failure analysis to characterize and debug packaging impact on MEMS devices.
• Define next-generation packaging technologies to enable breakthrough timing products.

Job Summary

As a Sr. Engineer, MEMS Assembly you will use your creativity and technical expertise to bring up and evolve MEMS packaging technologies for SiTime's next-generation timing products. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and work closely with MEMS back-end assembly and packaging partners to develop, evolve, and troubleshoot cutting-edge MEMS wafer-level packaging technologies
• Evaluate impact of assembly processes on device performance and reliability and ensure high yield and quality.
• Work closely with MEMS design and characterization teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and validated.
• Coordinate and perform failure analysis to characterize and debug assembly process impact on MEMS devices
• Define next generation packaging technologies to enable breakthrough timing products.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years industrial experience.
• Experience with MEMS assembly and packaging.
• A solid base in MEMS, including basic understanding of MEMS design and interactions between design, fabrication, and packaging.
• Experience with reliability characterization and yield analysis.
• Experience in bringing MEMS products to production is preferred.
