Job summary

SiTime, a leader in MEMS-based precision timing, seeks a Sr. Engineer, MEMS Assembly in Espoo. The role focuses on bringing up and evolving MEMS packaging technologies for next-generation timing products. The position emphasizes collaboration across design, fabrication, and packaging teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability of high-performance timing devices.

Qualifications

• Requires MS or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial MEMS assembly experience.
• Solid MEMS knowledge including interaction between design, fabrication and packaging.
• Experience with reliability characterization and yield analysis.
• Experience bringing MEMS products to production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEMS back-end assembly and packaging partners to develop and evolve MEMS wafer-level packaging technologies.
• Evaluate impact of assembly processes on device performance and reliability; ensure high yield and quality.
• Collaborate with MEMS design and characterization teams to ensure manufacturability and validation of products.
• Coordinate and perform failure analysis to characterize assembly process impact on MEMS devices.
• Define next generation packaging technologies to enable breakthrough timing products.
