Metsä Group is hiring a Solution Designer, Analytics in Espoo, Finland. You will own SAP reporting and analytics developments and lead as Product Owner within the supply chain analytics area, coordinating with external partners and business stakeholders.

The role combines hands-on SAP analytics work with architectural alignment and continual improvement, in a collaborative, agile environment in the Digital & AI function.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on SAP BW / BW4HANA experience including data modelling and performance tuning.
  • Practical SAP Analytics Cloud experience for reporting and live connections to BW/S4.
  • Ability to run requirements with business stakeholders and translate into design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the backlog and prioritize area as Product Owner.
  • Design and specify enhancements to SAP reporting/analytics, including data models and queries.
  • Support and validate implementation by external vendors.
  • Manage supplier collaboration, review designs and estimates.
  • Conduct quality control to ensure guidelines are followed.
  • Act as L3 escalation point for complex SAP analytics issues.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation with stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth handover and provide training when needed.

First, you will provide hands-on support and development expertise for SAP reporting and analytics solutions within your responsibility area. Second, you will take ownership of ongoing development efforts as a Product Owner (PO) in the supply chain management process area, helping to drive continuous improvement and value creation through data and analytics.As a Solution Designer, you will play a key role in translating business needs into technical solutions. You will design and validate new functionalities and guide the development work carried out by our external partners. Acting as a central link between business stakeholders and IT, you will help ensure that our solutions are high-quality, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with both architectural standards and business goals.Your responsibilities will include:* Own the backlog and prioritization for your area, including cross-BA trade-offs as Product Owner* Designing and specifying enhancements to SAP reporting and analytics applications, including data models, queries, planning and reporting layers* Supporting and validating implementation work delivered by external vendors* Managing operative supplier collaboration, including reviewing design proposals, workload estimates, and deliverables* Conducting quality control to ensure adherence to development guidelines and best practices* Act as technical escalation point (L3) for complex SAP reporting and analytics issues* Reviewing improvement suggestions from incidents and root cause analyses* Creating and maintaining solution documentation in cooperation with business and ICT stakeholders* Ensuring smooth handover of new solutions to support teams and assisting in related training and knowledge sharing.We are looking for someone who brings both strong SAP reporting and analytics technical skills and a business-oriented mindset.
