Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking a Site Manager to oversee all on-site construction activities for high-voltage projects, ensuring schedules, costs, and quality targets are met.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate subcontractors, manage procurement, health and safety compliance, and report progress to the Project Manager.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivering complex engineering projects safely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in HV settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, transmission and distribution.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills for diverse workforces.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects within budget and schedule.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build client and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete project lifecycle from planning to handover, ensuring objectives and timelines are met.
• Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and budgets with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractor management, procurement, quality control, and health and safety compliance.
• Monitor and report project progress to the Project Manager and escalate risks or issues.
• Lead and mentor site personnel, providing direction and growth opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Site Manager at H&MV Engineering. The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction activities on site, ensuring projects are completed within schedule, cost, and quality parameters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing complex engineering projects within the electrical sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from initial planning to final handover, ensuring adherence to project objectives and timelines.
• Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and oversee all site activities, including subcontractor management, procurement, quality control, and health and safety compliance.
• Monitor and report on project progress to the Project Manager, highlighting any potential risks or issues in a timely manner.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of site personnel, providing clear direction and guidance to achieve project goals.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and individual growth.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide coaching and mentoring as required.
• Ensure all personnel adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Act as the primary liaison between the project team and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
• Address any client requests or issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining H&MV Engineering's reputation for excellence.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable quality standards, specifications, and codes throughout the project.
• Implement and enforce robust health and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety and compliance on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and rectify any quality or safety issues.
