The opportunity We are looking for a Service Project Manager to join our Service Business Unit at Hitachi Energy in Finland. In this role, you will work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work, office-based work, and regularly site visits. You will oversee maintenance and service activities, review work on-site, and, when required, take an active role in leading and supporting maintenance work in the field. Regular customer meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder communication are also key aspects of the position. The primary location for this role is Lappeenranta, Vaasa, or Vantaa, although other locations in Finland may be considered based on the candidate's qualifications. Travel is primarily within Finland.
B.Sc. in electrical engineering and relevant experience with power systems or other suitable education and vast experience with power systems. Service oriented person with solution-oriented approach. Basic IT skills as well as the ability to learn modern engineering applications. High integrity and a strong “safety first” mindset. Experience from power system service / maintenance. Electrical Qualification Level 1, or eligibility to obtain the required certification is an advantage. Understanding power quality, relay protection and communication is an advantage. Understanding the basics of substation design is seen as an advantage. Knowledge of commercial contracts is an advantage. Excellent written and spoken skills in Finnish. Basic skills in English. Quality-focused, customer-oriented team player who is willing to commit to long-term objectives and development. Valid driver’s license.
