Job summary

Vaisala seeks a Process Engineer, Services to join our Service Product Management team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. You will lead operational improvements for our Service Centers and Field Services, focusing on standardizing the Service Center process foundation and enabling scalable, high-quality services.

You will work with Service Centers, Field Services, R&D, and factory operations to create work instructions, optimize test stations, and develop repair decision logic.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant engineering field, or equivalent technical experience
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant technical or process development role
• Experience with work instructions, process documentation, and standardized ways of working
• Practical understanding of repair, calibration, diagnostics, testing and tooling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methods
• Hands-on, collaborative way of working and strong project management and prioritization skills
• Ability to lead improvements and support change adoption
• Good communication skills in English
• Curiosity and a growth mindset to explore, learn, and apply AI tools in daily work

Responsibilities

• Create and improve work instructions, process maps, and repair procedures
• Improve the use of test stations, tools, and technical equipment
• Develop clear repair decision logic and quality release practices
• Analyze service workflows and identify improvement opportunities

• Use operational data to improve quality, turnaround time, and efficiency
