Job summary

Remedy Entertainment in Espoo, Finland, seeks a Senior UI Programmer to bring game UIs to life through code, shaping the data flow between the engine and frontend and working across the Northlight tech stack.

You will build HUD widgets, menus and UI components in TypeScript and C++, optimize UI performance across platforms, and collaborate with engine teams to push UI quality in upcoming titles.

Qualifications

• Shipped software with frame time and memory constraints.
• Strong C++ experience, multithreaded code.
• Fluent in TypeScript, JSX, and CSS preprocessing.
• Deep knowledge of the DOM API and browser performance.
• Team collaboration and API design experience.

Responsibilities

• Build HUD widgets, menus, and UI components in TypeScript and C++, shipping in-game.
• Develop data layer between engine and UI and design its next iteration.
• Develop UI framework features on top of Coherent Gameface (navigation, data binding, textures).
• Collaborate with Northlight engine team on UI perf and rendering across platforms.
