Job summary

Gasum, a Nordic energy expert, seeks a Senior Trader based in Espoo or Risavika to drive LNG and natural gas trading and risk management. The role is permanent and requires extensive market experience and a proven ability to deliver on P&L targets.

You will work within the LNG & Natural Gas team to optimize profitability, manage hedging strategies, and build strong relationships with counterparties across trading venues and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in trading in energy markets.
• Deep understanding of risk management and hedging.
• High level of numeracy and strong analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven track record of reaching set P&L goals and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages an assigned book of products by pricing and trading towards customers, counterparts and trading venues.
• Sourcing of LNG in the small scale segment.
• Proactively supports the end-to-end gas value chain and profitability.
• Responsible for own counterparties and development of relationships.
• Back-up and cooperation with LNG and Natural Gas team.

We are looking for a Senior Trader based in our Espoo or Risavika office. This position is permanent.

Our purpose is to secure access to cleaner energy for our customers. We help them navigate the energy transition towards continuously reducing emissions. Our areas of expertise are biogas, liquefied biogas (LBG), natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity markets. We help our customers in navigating the energy market also through managing the risks and benefits of a changing market.

At Gasum, LNG & Natural Gas team plays a pivotal role in the sustenance and growth of our business. Our team of eight professionals is committed to/focused/responsible for managing our LNG procurement and financial positions and the Natural Gas market offering in Finland and the Baltics.

Main responsibilities

• Proactively manages an assigned book of products by pricing and trading towards customers, counterparts and trading venues
• Sourcing of LNG in the small scale segment
• Proactively support the end-to-end gas value chain and profitability
• Responsibilities for own counterparties and development of relations
• Back-up and co-operation with colleagues in the LNG and Natural Gas team

What we expect from you

• Strong written and verbal communication in English
