Job summary

VEO Oy in Vaasa, Finland is seeking a Senior System Engineer to ensure hydro power project designs meet contractual requirements and design standards.

You will work closely with the Lead Engineer to translate customer needs into cost‑effective, high‑quality electrical solutions, prepare documentation, conduct testing and commissioning, and coordinate design changes across projects with travel within the Nordics.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering (bachelor or master).
• Strong expertise in electrical design for hydropower plants.
• Experience with design tools such as Eplan and AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, responsibility, effective communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in Finnish and English (Swedish is a plus).
• Ready to travel within Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

Location

Permanent, full‑time position based in Vaasa. You may work from any of our offices – Seinäjoki, Tampere, Paimio, or Rovaniemi – and will travel occasionally within Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
