Job summary

Devopsroles in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lay the foundations of a dependable, secure, and portable platform across multiple clouds. You will design Kubernetes-based infrastructure and drive reliability from the start, shaping how reliability is built here.

You will own observability, SLOs, and incident practices, build infrastructure as code with GitOps, and run ML workloads with Ray clusters on Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience building and operating production systems in an SRE/platform/infrastructure role.
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster operations, networking, storage, and troubleshooting.
• Experience running systems across more than one cloud provider and understanding cross-cloud trade-offs.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and automation skills (Terraform, Helm, GitOps) and proficiency in Python or Go for tooling.
• Solid grasp of distributed systems and their failure modes in reliability targets.
• Security-first mindset: consider trust boundaries, identity, secrets, and supply chain by default.
• Fluent in English and able to thrive in agile cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure that runs across multiple clouds with portable abstractions.
• Build observability: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting; define pragmatic SLOs and incident practices.
• Implement infrastructure as code and GitOps to make environments reproducible and automated end-to-end.
• Own scheduling, autoscaling, and cost efficiency for ML workloads on Ray clusters on Kubernetes.
• Ensure security by design: secrets management, network policy, workload identity, and supply-chain security.
• Create paved roads for CI/CD and deployment; document decisions clearly for team use.
