Job summary

Ookla, an Accenture company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our Helsinki team, delivering state‑of‑the‑art applications that help customers design and optimize Wi‑Fi networks with ease. You’ll work with a tight‑knit group to extend services and platforms that support our other applications and contribute to future software stack decisions.

In this role you’ll design, develop and maintain scalable microservices on AWS using Java, Spring Boot and TypeScript, collaborate

Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript.
Experience with building scalable solutions and microservices on top AWS.
Experience designing and working with PostgreSQL.
Bonus: Vue.js or React frontend experience; Kotlin/Scala; Terraform.
Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Adapt and extend web application architecture to support new features.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and teams to deliver high‑quality features.
Mentor and guide junior team members on architectural principles and practices.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for stable applications.
