Job summary

Ookla, an Accenture company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Helsinki to design and optimize Wi‑Fi network design apps. You will help shape the software stack and architecture, develop services and platforms, and work closely with product managers and designers to deliver high‑quality features.

You will mentor junior developers, debug issues, and contribute to scalable microservices on AWS while collaborating across teams to ensure robust, maintainable

Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript.
Experience with building scalable solutions and microservices on top AWS.
Experience designing and working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
Bonus points: Vue.js or React frontend experience.
Bonus points: Kotlin, Scala and Terraform.
Good communication in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Adapt and develop current web app architecture to support new features and data/control planes in the cloud
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and teams to deliver high-quality features
Mentor and guide junior team members on architectural principles and best practices
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for stable applications
