Nordea in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Prices team, contributing to a modern platform built with Java/Spring Boot, Kafka and REST APIs. You will shape architecture, drive cloud-native migration via Kubernetes, and collaborate with AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery.

You will mentor peers, review code, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions while owning production incidents and ensuring reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
• Expert in Java, Spring Boot and reactive programming.
• Experience with Kafka, JMS and REST API design.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle or other RDBMS and SQL performance.

Responsibilities

• Take requirements from Product Owner and implement it as software.
• Make architectural decisions shaping system evolution for 3 years.
• Review code daily to raise team standards.
• Drive Kubernetes migration and cloud-native transformation.
• Automate processes and simplify workflows.
• Build AI/agentic workflows to boost output.
• Mentor and pair-program with other developers.
• Communicate with stakeholders to translate complexity.
• Own production incidents and fix them.
