Job summary

Kalmar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Digital Solutions team in Tampere, Finland. You will own software features, build AI-powered services, and guide internal teams and partners across Kalmar's product divisions.

You will mentor peers, lead code reviews, and foster best practices while shaping control-system software, diagnostics, and OTA updates for Kalmar machines. A strong engineering mindset and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or related field, plus strong English communication.
• Proven software design and development experience with elegant architectures.
• Experience across Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and C/C++.
• Hands-on with AI/Agentic AI, LLMs, and cloud infra (AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Own features for Kalmar software solutions across product divisions.
• Develop AI-powered digital services and tooling for the innovation hub.
• Serve as technical liaison to internal divisions and external partners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical software issues with task forces.
• Mentor developers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices.
